Ray Randall, 94, of Mason City, died Friday, September 23, 2022, at MercyOne North Iowa Hospice Inpatient Unit. Randall was born October 10, 1927, in Mason City, Iowa, to parents Helen and Gilbert (G.S.) Randall. Douglas R. Hanson, 75, of Mason City, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, at the MercyOne North Iowa Hospice Inpatient Unit surrounded by family. Richard Allen Beckman was born on July 26, 1952 to parents Jacob and Gladys Beckman in New Hampton, Iowa. Rick graduated from City High High School in Iowa City in 1970. Shortly after graduation, Rick enlisted in the Army, and he served for two years. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of North Iowa, VA Central Iowa Mason City and the home health care aids who cared for Dick at home.

Brian served his apprenticeship at Dunn's/Westover Funeral Homes in Des Moines before returning to Garner in 1994 to assist his father in the family business. Brian and wife, Bonnie have three sons, Samuel, Ray and Reed. He is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball and attending community and church events.

In 1920, the business was purchased by Harvey B. Major and was operated as the Randall Major Funeral Home at 3rd and North Delaware. In 1939, the funeral home moved to its current location, 111 N. Mary Helen had a lovely vegetable garden on the farm and enjoyed learning about and appreciating the bright flowers in her flower garden and their scientific names. In 1996 they retired from farming and in 2004 moved to Mason City. She was not only a reader, but also enjoyed crossword puzzles and collecting antique glassware.

They made their home on a farm north of Popejoy where they farmed and raised their three children. Besides helping on the farm, Mary Helen was active in her community as a 4-H leader, Rainbow Advisor and Worthy Matron for Eastern Star three times. At First United Methodist Church in Popejoy she was president of the United Methodist Women for five years and taught Sunday school for 17years.
